A map of the world around you in a corner of the screen.

Horizon's own minimap, formerly an extra in Options > Horizon Extras.

  • A map of the land around you, drawn like a map item: vanilla's map colours with their height shading and water depth, and your arrow.
  • Underground, under a roof and in the Nether it maps the floor around your height.
  • Settings: Options > Mods > Minimap > Settings (corner; size; square or round; zoom, 0.5 to 4 blocks per pixel; turn with the player).

It shows a map in a corner of the screen: nothing else.

Mods run in a sandbox with no file, network or clock access. The game refuses a mod whose code uses more than this list.

Install

  1. In the launcher: Mods, pick Horizon beside Modrinth, find Minimap and press Install. It checks the file's checksum first.
  2. From a terminal or an agent: horizon-launcher mods install --source horizon minimap
  3. By hand: download minimap-1.0.0.hmod (26 KB), check its SHA-256 below, and put it in horizon-mods/ beside options.txt in the game folder, then turn it on in the game: Options > Mods.
