Menu Panorama

Menu Panorama is a resource pack for Horizon — Minecraft: Java Edition 26.3, rewritten from scratch in Rust.

It replaces the six textures of the main-menu background with a picture you choose. It is a plain resource pack, not a Java mod: no mod loader, no Java, and no code from the pack is executed. Horizon loads it natively.

• Any photo in the room mode: the picture is shown whole on the four walls, with mirrored seams and soft colours above and below.
• A 360° equirectangular panorama in the 360 mode: the sphere is cut into six cube faces, so the view stays seamless when the camera turns.
• Auto picks the mode from the image's aspect ratio.

Build a pack in the browser with panorama-maker.html: drop an image, choose a face size, download the .zip. Everything runs locally; the picture never leaves the computer. make_panorama.py does the same from the command line.

The pack only changes assets/minecraft/textures/gui/title/background/panorama_0..5.png; gameplay, sounds and other textures are untouched. pack.mcmeta is made for Horizon 26.3 (resource format 97) and also declares formats 15–999, so the same file loads in Minecraft Java 1.21+. A demo pack is attached to every release.
