FPS Counter

Frames per second in a corner of the screen, with the minimum and the 1% low.

Unsigned MIT 1.0.0 client

Horizon's own FPS counter, formerly an extra in Options > Horizon Extras.

  • Frames in the last second, in a small box in the corner you pick.
  • Optionally the slowest frame and the 1% low of the last 5 seconds.
  • Settings: Options > Mods > FPS Counter > Settings (corner; minimum and 1% low).

It reads the game's own frame counter and draws on the HUD: nothing else.

What it may do

  • May render
  • May ui
  • May save its own settings to disk

Mods run in a sandbox with no file, network or clock access. The game refuses a mod whose code uses more than this list.

Install

  1. In the launcher: Mods, pick Horizon beside Modrinth, find FPS Counter and press Install. It checks the file's checksum first.
  2. From a terminal or an agent: horizon-launcher mods install --source horizon fps_overlay
  3. By hand: download fps_overlay-1.0.0.hmod (15 KB), check its SHA-256 below, and put it in horizon-mods/ beside options.txt in the game folder, then turn it on in the game: Options > Mods.
