Each chat line from a player gets their 8x8 skin face in the strip to its left; lines without a player stay as they are, and the face fades with its line. The switch lives in Options > Mods.
A native mod is Rust code that the launcher compiles into a game of its own, the Native mods instance. It is not sandboxed: it can do anything you can on this computer. The launcher builds it only after a warning that names it, and a reviewer read its source before it was listed. Read the source yourself before you build it. How native mods work
0.1.12026-11-02 · for Minecraft 26.3 · made on Horizon 4aa6854
Rebuilt on the 2026-11-01 Nightly (Horizon 4aa6854). The three hook points it shares — mods, settings, settings_click — are named now instead of pinned to raw source targets, so a Horizon update that moves them no longer breaks the bundle.
0.1.02026-10-30 · for Minecraft 26.3 · made on Horizon a46ce68
First release: a native mod for Horizon 26.3. Every chat line from a player gets their 8x8 skin face in the strip to its left; system lines, /me and wrapped continuations get none. Settings in Options > Mods.
